Dr. Sunil Mehra, MD (Paediatrics) from Banaras Hindu University, India has been a practising paediatrician for over three decades. Has founded MAMTA in 1990 and with his vision expanded its work to 12 states of India and neighbouring countries of Bangladesh and Nepal.
Dr. Mehra has conceptualized, developed and provided technical inputs into numerous maternal newborn and child health projects and has contributed immensely to the policy and program dialogue in the country and the region. He has been part of many task forces and committees in India and globally. He continues to support formulation of strategies and interventions to address issues like adolescent reproductive and sexual health, maternal and child health, HIV and AIDS in the country and the region. A committed professional, Dr Mehra along with a few others has now conceptualized the 10K club to work towards ensuring right to health of children and adolescent.
Mr. Aroon Bhatia a finance professional and a Charted Accountant with extensive experience of working with Development sector organizations. He has been instrumental in building financial management capabilities of many national and regional civil society organizations.
Pawan K Varma
Mr Pawan K. Varma, Director of the Institute, is a management graduate with a more than 15 years of extensive experience in systems and processes of development sector. He has worked with CIET, NCERT, Government of India on content development projects and on Information Systems of a Multinational (Whirlpool of India) before joining the development sector with MAMTA Health Institute for Mother and Child in 2001. He is a committed and energetic individual who sternly believes in working for the cause of the marginalized and under privileged.
Prashant Pastore is a Postgraduate from Centre for Study of Regional Development, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and has been trained from the University of Oregon, USA on qualitative analysis and systematic review. MrPrashant has over 14 years of working experience which includes his early days volunteering in Himalayas. He is an active on various issues concerning public health, environment and sustainability.He has been part of strategic planning and development of the Institute including national and international technical support. Mr. Prashant has had a long association with both MAMTA and Institute of Global Development for past many years. Prior to joining MAMTA, He was the Regional Manager with Transport Corporation of India and heading the Northern Indian region trucker programme. MrPrashant also has extensive background experience of working with environmental health. At Toxics Link, he was leading the team of waste and mercury programme on providing technical support to government and private sector institutes on the issues of waste and mercury and heavy metal substitution in healthcare and other consumer products. He is also associated with Solidaridad-South and South East Asia and working on the issues of poverty reduction and sustainable supply chains on various farm based products
Dr. P.K. Goswami
Dr Goswami is M.B.B.S. He studied in UK to pursue Diploma in Child Health & M.Sc. in Maternal and Child Health. He is a paediatrician and acquired hands on knowledge and skill on Adolescents/ Young People health and development. His total professional experience counts more than 3 decades and since last thirteen years he is contributing in the organisation with keen interest to promote health & development of women, child & adolescents.
Dr. Anjali Goel
Dr. Anjali Goel is working as Medical Officer at IGD since March 2012. She is MD from Czechoslovakia. She has over twenty two-year’s of experience in Health Sector. At Present she is working in the Mobile Medical Unit which serves 6 villages (4 in Punjab and 2 in Haryana).
Dr. Naresh Kumar is an M.B.B.S. from Govt. Medical College, Patiala. He has served as a Medical Officer in Iran by invitation of Ministry of External Affairs. He has also served as in-house surgeon in Ophthalmology & Medicine and assisted several life-saving procedures.
Dr. Rakesh Pandey
Dr. Rakesh Pandey is M.B.B.S. from Rajendra Medical College, Ranchi and associated with IGD as Medical Officer in Mobile Medical Unit Kasauli, Himachal Pardesh. He has served for Ministry of Health recognized hospitals in Libya, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and also worked as Medical Officer In-charge at Community Health Center in Chandi District Solan in association with the Government of Himachal Pradesh
Dr. O.P Sharma is working as a Medical Officer at the Institute for Global Development. He had worked in various positions in Govt. and have more than forty years of experience in Training, Monitoring & Evaluation. At present he is working in Apollo tyres health care project Jaipur.
Bikash Kumar Rai
Coordinator Finance and Accounts
Bikas Kumar Rai is Head of Finance and Accounts at IGD. He is having numerous years of experience in Accounts and Finance. His expertise lies in Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. Monitoring and analysing accounting data and produce financial reports and implementing financial procedures.
Mr Jai Prakash, a Program Manager with Institute for Global Development is a Masters in Mathematics. After putting in 36 years of service in a nationalised bank. He retired as a manager. Mr Prakash always had in his nature to go out of the way to help people in need. And hence he did undertake a lot of activities for the needy section of the society during his tenure. And now after his retirement, he is devoting all his time for the weaker section of the society.
Suresh Velari is the Program Co-ordinator at ‘Kavach’ Project (Maternal and Child Health Care) in Institute for global development in Ankleshwar Gujarat. He is a Social Science graduate and Master degree in Social Work from Bhavnagar University Gujarat, and also completed L.L.B From. Saurashtra University Gujarat.
Tej Prakash is a Project Coordinator with the Institute for Global Development. He is Masters in Sociology. Mr Malakar has been working in the NGO sector since 1995 in different project on Health, Education, and Environment. He has a core competence in field activities.
Asif Iqbal is B. Sc. MLT and associated with the Institute for Global Development as a lab technician in Mobile Medicare Unit kasauli , distict Solan Himachal Pradesh which serves four villages. He is with IGD since 2014. He completed his Masters in Social Work and also advance diploma in computers.
